Before you start – How this course works
The idea behind Basic Finnish Club is simple: you don’t need to figure out what to study, when to study it or where to find suitable practice – I have planned the learning path for you.

As a qualified Finnish language teacher, I have designed the course step by step: what to learn first, what to practise next and how the different topics build on each other. For each lesson, I have selected and organised learning materials and activities that support that stage of your Finnish.

The course brings together different types of resources, including interactive exercises, videos, listening practice, vocabulary activities and other online materials. Some are created by Waltari Education, while others open on carefully selected external websites. Using a variety of resources is an intentional part of the course design.

Your job is simply to follow the lessons in order and practise – the learning path has already been planned for you.

You do not need to purchase additional subscriptions to follow the course. For example, you can use the Quizlet flashcards linked in the lessons without creating an account.
